I love mixed wrestling.
I love doing it. I love watching it. I love reading about it. I love writing about it. I love seeing pictures of it. I love talking about it. The moves, the personalities, the nuances, the styles, the entire package of it appeals to me, and has done so for a long, long time.
For the past ten years of my life, I’ve been into it like most fans would be. I found a list of my favorite women, got in with companies I like, tried to keep up with matches online, absorbed whatever I could of it. But for a lot of reasons - money, timing, availability - I never got any closer than that. It was something I only watched others do, and never participated in myself.
For the next decade, however, I’ve decided to make a change on that. Without getting into too much detail, in recent years I’ve become all too aware of my mortality, and the fact that my time on this Earth likely won’t be as long as I’d want. I’m not old, but I’m not young, and I don’t want to get to a ripe age, only to learn I haven’t done things with my time that I wanted to.
I want to wrestle. I want to be more involved. I want to be a part of it.
So that’s what this blog is meant to be. My contribution to the mixed wrestling scene. Here, once a week, I’ll try to post something about mixed wrestling - maybe a post that gives an indepth review of someone I wrestled, maybe a review of a certain clip I like, maybe just a spotlight on a wrestler that I’m a particular fan of. I might even write a few stories, if the whims take me.
Anything. Everything. Mixed wrestling. It’ll be a fun journey, and I hope I can get a few people to take it with me. If not, then the journey itself is enough.
